Training Fees & Schedule
- Payments:
- Families may pay the entire season’s fees at the time of registration.
- They may also opt to participate in a payment plan consisting of 4 equal payments. The first payment is due with registration. The following 3 payments will be due on the first of October, November, December, respectively.
- Discounts:
- Siblings are eligible for a 5% discount on all training fees.
- Payment Method: All families are required to keep a valid credit card or ACH bank account on file via our secure member portal.
- Late Fees: Outstanding balances are due on the first of each month. Payments not received by the 10th of each month will incur a late fee of $10.
Meet Entry Fees
- Meet entry fees are billed in addition to team training fees. Fees are set by the meet host and may vary depending on the host, meet structure, and athlete participation.
- BBD may add a small service fee to cover relay charges, coach travel, or administrative costs.
- Once a swimmer is entered into a meet, the family is responsible for those fees regardless of attendance (the club is billed by the host team at the time of entry).
- Meet fees will be processed using the payment method on file following the meet entry deadline.
Volunteer Requirements
- The success of our hosted meets and team events depends on member participation. Without enough participation, we cannot run successful meets for our swimmers. Hosted competitions are vital sources of income for the team. In addition to providing a chance for our members to compete locally, visiting teams’ and swimmers’ entry fees provide funds for the club’s operations. Without this source team fees would have absorb this shortfall.
- Requirement: One parent participant per family must work for each BBD-hosted meet session when their child is swimming.
- Penalty: Failure to meet the participation requirement will result in a $100 charge for the first missed session. Fees will double for each subsequent missed session in a season.
- We encourage our members to be proactive working with the club and other members to accommodate missed sessions that cannot be avoided. There are opportunities to “trade sessions” by working 2 sessions in another meet to make-up any missed sessions or trade with another family. Any of these changes must be communicated and approved by the team 1 week prior to the competition.
- WE DON’T WANT THE ADDITIONAL FEE – WE WANT YOUR PARTICIPATION ON DECK *
- Opportunities: A wide variety of roles are available, including positions leading up to the meet and during the event itself. These positions are listed in our parent handbook. (Link to page)
